MD/PhD Activities

students competing at the Relays

Training in the Tufts MSTP provides students with a range of activities that blend learning in non-didactic settings, career development, volunteer opportunities and that take full advantage of our Boston setting.

Program specific activities include:

  • Annual Retreat
  • Monday Night Career Development Dinners
  • SWAPS - a group supporting women physician scientists

GSBS and Tufts University School of Medicine immerse students in an active campus life. Service to the local and global community is a core value at Tufts and many opportunities to volunteer are available.

In addition to activities sponsored by the MSTP, our trainees can participate in clubs, social activities and community outreach projects through the School of Medicine and other organizations at Tufts.

The GSBS Graduate Student Council also sponsors clubs and activities that are open to all GSBS students. An MD-PhD student represents the program on the Council.
