Current Students
Students are an integral part of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS), and are encouraged to be active, contributing members of our scientific community. Although mentored laboratory research training is at the core of our educational program, students can take part in all aspects of student life at the School. This includes joining the Graduate Student Council and other student organizations and participating in school-wide events or community focused projects and activities. The graduate student experience is unique, and we encourage our students to take advantage of all it can offer.
The GSBS Dean's Office staff provide a wide range of student support services. We also work with other the Health Sciences Campus and University offices to ensure that students' needs are addressed. Other relevant offices include:
- Student Wellness and Support programming, including 24-7 mental health support services;
- Tufts International Center, which supports our international students;
- Office of Multicultural Affairs, which provides programming and support for minority students;
- Disability Services, which works to accommodate student needs.
The Dean's Office is also responsible for student academic matters, and advising faculty and students concerning Graduate School and University policies and procedures. Please feel free to contact the staff with any questions.
Detailed information on these areas is available in the GSBS Student Portal in Canvas.
