Monday Night Career Dinner

During the academic year, the MSTP students organize and host a monthly Monday night dinner series that introduces students to MD-PhD scientists who are pursuing their careers in different ways. The program introduces students to MD/PhDs at different phases of their careers and who are pursuing different career paths. Speakers include MD/PhDs in academic positions pursuing both patient care and research as well as others who are pursuing research careers. Speakers who have chosen to use their training in the biotechnology industry are also included.

The setting is informal and provides an opportunity to discuss career goals and hear about challenges that recent graduates from other programs have faced. Dinner from one of our local restaurants is provided. The program is usually organized by students in the second graduate school year.
