PDD Admissions

Candidates seeking admission to the MS in Pharmacology and Drug Development Program apply to the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences using the online application.

The Graduate Record Examination is required, but a subject test is not.

Application Deadlines

PDD has two application deadlines.

  • May 1 for applicants who require a student visa to attend
  • July 15 for applicants who do not require a student visa

Application Review and Interview

The PDD Admissions Committee reviews applications on a rolling basis (ie, applications are reviewed as they are received). Applicants are encouraged to submit all required materials as early as possible. Applications that are completed after the deadline will be considered by the Admissions Committee if positions remain available.

Once an application has been submitted, the PDD Program Director and Admissions Director schedule a brief (20-30 minutes) virtual interview with the candidate. The interviews provide an opportunity for the faculty to get to know the candidate and for the candidate to get their questions about the program fully answered. After the call, the candidate will be connected with a current student in the program. Within a couple weeks of the interview, the PDD Admissions Committee will make an admissions decision.

Eligibility

The PDD application is open to both domestic and international applicants. Applicants must have completed their bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences, before beginning graduate school. It is recommended that prospective applicants complete a minimum of one course of college-level biology.
