Information for International Applicants

Tufts University and GSBS Welcomes International Applicants

This video helps prospective applicants learn about the opportunities and culture at Tufts University from the leaders of our schools and hear what our international students think about their Tufts experience.

International Student Admissions at GSBS

The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences does not admit a specific number of international students each year, but instead weighs all applications to select those who are the best qualified. About 7% of our PhD students are international, while about 71% of our MS candidates are international.

International applicants follow the same application procedure as domestic students. See Required Application Documents for information.

PhD students in the Basic Science Division from outside the United States who are accepted into funded slots receive the same tuition scholarship and stipend as US citizens and permanent residents. See Financing Your Education for information.

Please note, the MD/PhD program accepts only United States citizens and permanent residents.
