Research/Areas of Interest

Porphyromonas gingivalis is a pathogen that dysregulates the immune system resulting in periodontitis, and has been associated with Alzheimers, and atherosclerosis. My research is focused on characterizing how P. gingivalis causes this dysregulation using in vitro and in vivo techniques.
