Research/Areas of Interest:
Legionella pneumophila is an intracellular pathogen whose survival relies on the Dot/Icm translocation system to secrete proteins within the host cell. I am currently focused on investigating the mechanistic pathway of one of these Dot/Icm-secreted proteins, SdhA, which maintains vacuole membrane integrity.
