Research/Areas of Interest
My research focuses on the role of bio electricity in cancer. Previous work in the lab found that the resting membrane potential (RMP) of triple negative breast cancer cells (TNBC) is largely established by potassium channels and distinct from healthy tissue. I am now investigating molecular mechanisms and transcriptional states related to changes in RMP and how these mediate metastatic behaviors in TNBC tumor cells
