Research/Areas of Interest:

My research focuses on investigating the role of MyD88, an intracellular signaling protein, in T lymphocytes. The pro-inflammatory actions of activated T lymphocytes are pathogenic in the heart, but can be used to promote anti-tumor activity. I study how MyD88 affects the the trafficking of T cells into tissues and their effector function. This work allows us to understand the pathogenic role of T cells in heart failure and investigate how MyD88 manipulation can be used for anti-melanoma activity.
