Research/Areas of Interest
Multisystem proteinopathy (MSP) is a pleiotropic degenerative disorder that manifests as inclusion body myopathy, Paget disease of the bone, and/or the motor neuron disease ALS. Its most common genetic cause is mutations in the p97 gene, and I am interested in the effects of the R155H mutation on lysosome function in iPSC-derived motor neurons.
