I am studying how positive energy balance and body weight gain affects neurodegeneration, excitotoxicity and synaptic dysfunction in an early on-set Alzheimer’s disease mouse model, APP/PS1, specifically through BDNF signaling and astrocytic glutamate reuptake pathway.
