Research/Areas of Interest
Thousands of loci in the human genome have been identified that influence human disease risk. Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with complex disease risk are enriched in non-coding regions of the genome, specifically in cis-regulatory elements. Using the mouse as a model organism, my project focuses on modeling and understanding how a combination of human risk alleles across multiple loci contribute to complex disease burden.
