Research/Areas of Interest:
Insect flight muscle is unique in how incredibly robust and resilient it is. My research seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms of muscular development in Manduca sexta with the intent of replicating the process in vitro. Through replicating and adapting these complex biological process, I hope to apply the concepts to designing biological actuators.
