Research/Areas of Interest
One focus of our lab involves the function of plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) in the ocular angiogenesis. I am studying the role of pDCs in the pathological retinal neovascularization (RNV) and exploring the underlying mechanisms, as well as their therapeutic potential for this disorder by using animal models such as oxygen-induced retinopathy mice. I am using molecular biology and biochemistry approaches and physiology methods such as optical coherence tomography, angiography. I also plan to investigate the role of pDCs in other ocular diseases.
