Research/Areas of Interest:
My research focuses on chronic kidney disease (CKD). My primary focus has been on the interplay among CKD, vascular disease including stroke and cardiovascular disease, and physical and cognitive function. I have experience as a clinical trialist, evaluating the effects of exercise in people with CKD and evaluating blood pressure targets in people with and without kidney disease. Consistent with my clinical emphasis on dialysis patient care, I work closely with collaborators at Dialysis Clinic, Inc (DCI) to leverage existing clinical data and natural experiments to inform clinical practice.
