NPR's weekly science news show, Science Friday, features information on scientific developments across a broad spectrum of topics, including biology and medicine. The program, hosted by Ira Flatow, airs on many public radio stations, including WBUR in Boston.

Peter Gwynne, a postdoctoral scholar in Linden Hu's laboratory, was interviewed on the program about his work on Lyme disease. Lyme disease can arise following infection with Borrelia burgdorferi, a tick-borne bacterial pathogen and can cause serious disease in infected people.

Gwynne and his co-workers discovered novel autoantibodies against phospholipids that could serve as an important diagnostic tool for Lyme disease.
