What is the ultimate goal of your research?

The goal of our work To help develop preventive and interventional strategies for cryptosporidiosis (the disease we work on) in vulnerable populations who most need them.

What excites you about your research?

That I have the opportunity with my lab at Tufts to study the molecular basis of interactions of the parasite Cryptosporidium with host cells using cutting edge technology as well as the opportunity to work with my colleagues in India to study the natural history, molecular epidemiology and immune responses to infection in birth cohorts of children with cryptosporidiosis.

What do you like best about GSBS students?

They are bright, curious, work hard and have fun!

The graduate programs are small with caring interactive faculty.

What do you do to relax?

I like to cook food from different cuisines and listen to music.
