The Charlton Student Research Award is presented annually to students in the third or fourth year of training at GSBS. The award is based solely on research accomplishments during a student’s graduate career at Tufts.
This Year's Recipients
Samantha Moores
Samantha is a Genetics, Molecular & Cellular Biology PhD student conducting her research with Peter Juo, PhD. Her project focuses on mechanisms involved in polyglutamine accumulation in muscle.
Natalia Quirk
Natalia is a Molecular Microbiology PhD student conducting her research with Shumin Tan, PhD. Her project focuses on Mycobacterium tuberculosis and its interaction with phagosomes.
Alec Stepanian
Alec is a Cell, Molecular & Developmental Biology MD/PhD student conducting his research with Iris Jaffe, MD, PhD. His project focuses on mechanisms of cardiotoxicity of chemotherapeutics.
Yishak A. Woldetsadik
Yishak is a Molecular Microbiology PhD students conducting his research with Andrew Camilli, PhD. His project focuses on the way interaction with phage affect Vibrio cholerae.
