GSBS Congratulates Two Recipients from the Alcaide Lab on their NIH Fellowships
Successfully competing for NIH fellowships is hard and when two students in one lab succeed in a single year, it is a wonderful and rare achievement!
Both Sasha Smolgovsky and Abe Bayer were awarded NIH fellowships this year for their work in Pilar Alcaide's laboratory. Sasha is an Immunology PhD student and Abe is an MD/PhD student doing his PhD work in the Immunology program.
Sasha received an F31 award and Abe received an F30 award.
