GSBS Congratulates New NIH Fellowship Recipients
Congratulations to David Giacalone and Zemplen Pataki on the awarding of their NIH fellowships.
Two new NIH fellowships have been awarded to our students.
David Giacalone, a PhD student in the Molecular Microbiology program received a new NIH F31 fellowship award titled “Unraveling the role of an essential two-component system in Mycobacterium tuberculosis ionic signal response and host colonization”. Daivd is completing his thesis work with Shumin Tan, PhD.
Zemplen Pataki, an MD/PhD student in the Molecular Microbiology program received a new NIH F30 fellowship titled “Roles of the cytoplasmic domains of the HSV-1 glycoproteins gH and gB in membrane fusion”. Zemplen is completing his thesis work with Katya Heldwein, PhD.
