GSBS Congratulates Faculty Recipients of Tufts Springboard Awards

Four of our faculty were recognized with Tufts Springboard Awards recently. Tufts Springboard is an intramural grant program sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR), and Tufts Medicine. The goal of Tufts Springboard is to stimulate high impact research, scholarship and educational initiatives that have an explicit plan leading to extramural funding or other outcomes that influence research, scholarship, educational outcomes, and/or policy.

Athar Chishti, PhD, is the Team Lead with Team Member Toshihiko Hanada, PhD. Their project is entitled "Identification of Clinically Important Babesia microti Antigens in Human Erythrocytes".

Alexei Degterev, PhD, Miranda Good, PhD and Yongjie Yang, PhD are Team Leads on their project "Defining the Role of RIPK1 Kinase in Astrocyte-induced Loss of Blood-brain Barrier Integrity".
