GSBS Congratulates Alec Stepanian & Maria McClave on their new NIH Fellowships
Alec Stepanian and Maria McClave have received NIH fellowships to support their training.
Alec Stepanian, an MD/PhD student in the CMDB program who is doing his thesis work with Iris Jaffe, MD, MD, has been awarded an F30 NIH fellowship. Alec's research focuses on chemotherapy-associated vascular toxicity and his fellowship is entitled "Mechanism of Ponatinib induced vascular toxicity".
Maria McClave, a PhD student in the Molecular Microbiology Program who is doing her research with Katya Heldwein, PhD, has been awarded and F31 NIH fellowship. Maria's research focuses on entry mechanisms in human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) and her fellowship is entitled "Structural and antigenic characterization of human cytomegalovirus gB"
