Dean's Message - October 24, 2022

Dear GSBS Community,

Over the next few weeks, GSBS will attend two important national conferences for underrepresented scientists: Dan Volchok will lead the team at SACNAS in San Juan, Puerto Rico with Leanne Vazquez-Ramirez, a PREP scholar, and Iris Montes a CMDB student, while I will attend ABRCMS in Anaheim, CA with Henry Wortis, Neuroscience student Najah Walton, and PREP scholar Luca Guzman. It’s exciting to attend these conferences in person for the first time in three years, and I’m pleased to have so many GSBS students joining us.

These meetings are wonderful venues for connection, learning, and recruiting future GSBS students. I have attended these meetings over the years, and it warms my heart to see them grow. I look forward to representing GSBS, learning best practices from our peers across the country, and meeting the next generation of scientists.
