Remembering all we are thankful for and giving special thanks to Beth Storrs for her outstanding service to GSBS.

Dear GSBS Community,

I hope that you all had a restful Thanksgiving, filled with feasting, friends, family and gratitude. While the ongoing pandemic and recovery have contributed to the challenges of our time, we all have much to be thankful for. I find an attitude of gratitude gives me the strength to meet challenges and appreciate all that I have. I am thankful to my mentors (and I have lost three this year), for helping me to believe in myself and bring my best to my career. I am especially thankful to you, our students, faculty and staff, who work each day to make us a better place.

Finally, today I am thankful to Beth Storrs who will step away from GSBS in December. She has been promoted and will administer Slate across all Tufts graduate schools. She has been a strong advocate for GSBS students for over a decade and her efforts in promoting DEI, especially in Admissions, has made her a valuable colleague. I will miss her wise advice and innovative thinking and her continued efforts to make GSBS a better, more diverse, and more inclusive community.

Dan Jay, Dean
