Dean's Message - November 1, 2021
We are in the full swing of fall semester, and I feel the hard work of our students, faculty, and staff. There is a buzz of activity in the air! It has been rewarding to see you all in classes, seminars, and labs, as well as events, such as thesis defenses and last week’s Shucart symposium.
One of our great yearly events is the annual Earle P. Charlton Poster Competition, which will be held virtually this year. I encourage you to attend the event today from 12 – 2pm to support your fellow students and to learn more about the wonderful research being done at GSBS, as well as our professional schools. You can register at the link below.
To our South Asian students, staff and faculty, I wish you a happy Diwali. The festival of lights takes place this week. As winter approaches and the sun sets earlier, we can all use a little more light. I also want to recognize Veteran’s Day next Thursday. This national holiday originally commemorated the end of World War I, but now honors all who have served. May you celebrate and honor these men and women for their service and sacrifice.
