Dean's Message - May 1, 2023

Dear GSBS Community,

April 15 marked the deadline for confirming acceptance into GSBS’s four basic science PhD programs. Thanks to all the administrators, faculty and students for a highly successful recruiting season; this year saw a 40% increase in applications. Kudos especially to admissions director Laura Felch, who developed new approaches for recruiting and outreach.

The incoming PhD class includes 24 students (19 in Boston and 5 in Jax), 8 of whom are members of underrepresented groups (33%). Admissions is ongoing for our Masters programs in Pharmacology and Drug Development and Clinical and Translational Science, as well as the combined MD/PhD programs. I hope that as our new students join us, you will warmly welcome them to our GSBS community.
