Spring is a busy time at GSBS!

Dear GSBS Community,

With the weather starting to warm up and thoughts of spring and summer in the air, GSBS staff have feet in both this year and next. We are finishing out the 2022-23 academic year and getting ready for the 2023-24 year. It is always an exciting, busy time as we prepare to wish our graduates well and welcome a new group of students.

Today is the deadline to complete all requirements for May graduation. We have a number of Masters and PhD students working on finalizing their theses and completing other requirements. In addition to the hard work put in by students completing their degrees, their advisors and committee members have been assisting them in making their work the best it can be; I’d like to thank those faculty members for their help. We are preparing for our annual Awards Celebration on May 19th and the Commencement Ceremony on May 21st. Mark your calendar to attend the Awards Celebration at 3pm on May 19th; more details will be sent soon.

We are finishing our PhD admissions process and continuing our Masters, MD/PhD, BDBS and PREP processes. Across all programs we had 859 applications and have interviewed over 200 students. With the April 15 commitment deadline for PhD applicants coming up, we will soon know the makeup of our incoming class of PhD students.

Finally, for our continuing students: registration for Summer and Fall classes opens today. Be sure to review the e-mail from Craig Keller and don’t forget to register by April 17.

Whew! What a busy time!

Dan Volchok, Associate Dean
