Our research aims to unravel the developmental mechanisms that give hair cells their characteristic shape to enable perception. Sensory ability arises through a morphogenetic process whereby intricate cytoskeleton polarization produces and orients the stereocilia bundle, the cell compartment where transduction occurs.
