CTS Admissions

Students seeking admission to the Clinical & Translational Science (CTS) Graduate Program apply to the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

Most CTS students are fully-trained physicians. Others with similar backgrounds (e.g., DDS, DVM or PharmD) or advanced biomedical or clinical degrees may also be considered for admission.

Applicants who hope to pursue CTS PhD training typically enter the program as an MS degree student and successfully complete two semesters of course work and the qualifying examination to be considered for the PhD Program. Trainees who have a MS in Clinical Research or an equivalent degree may apply directly to the PhD program.

Applicants are usually affiliated with and supported by one of the fellowship programs and typically initially apply to a clinical or research fellowship training program at Tufts Medical Center. Applicants must be trained in the medical sciences and are primarily fully-trained physicians.

The application process is completed online. Details about the application process can be found on the GSBSĀ admissions pages.
