Certificate in Clinical & Translational Science

The part-time, 11 month CTS Certificate Program is designed for individuals interested in clinical and translational research who are unable to devote two years of full-time study to obtain the MS degree.

The CTS Certificate Program shares coursework with the CTS MS Program. The program requires completion of 16 - 16.5 credits, and is compatible with a part-time commitment of one academic year of study.

Students develop a brief research project and conduct mentored research throughout the year of training. Presentation of a poster describing the research at the Annual CTS Graduate Symposium is required for completion of the CTS Certificate.

The Program specifically targets clinical doctoral students (medical, dental and veterinary students) who wish to take one year away from their training to earn a Certificate. The program also welcomes junior faculty of Tufts CTSI-affiliated institutions, as well as fellows in training, or mid-career clinicians who are considering a career change and want to strengthen their clinical research skills.
