Research/Areas of Interest:
My research focuses in the fields of vascular biology and ophthalmology, centering on the role of innate immunity in the regulation of physiological and pathological vascular growth in the neural retina. We also investigate the role for innate immune signaling in various retinal neurodegenerative pathologies. We also study the role of complement and chemokine signaling in the modulation of glial-resident and non-resident immune cells crosstalk during retinal vascular development and retinal degenerative conditions.
