Research/Areas of Interest
I am studying two gene SNP mutations, together they contribute to age dependent hyperactivity and cortical cell death. The genes I am investigating are related to scavenger receptors and importin alpha, both important in cellular maintenance and homeostasis. I aim to uncover the roles these proteins play in neuronal systems and the mechanisms by which they interact for neuronal cell health.
