Research/Areas of Interest
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a newly recognized global public health problem. CKD can lead to kidney failure and complications in all organ systems, including increased risk from cardiovascular disease. Dr. Levey is involved with research groups here at Tufts and around the world studying laboratory measures to estimate kidney function, the burden of chronic kidney disease, new therapies, and the development of clinical practice guidelines and public health approaches for chronic kidney disease.
