This year, GSBS students will be well-represented at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS). This year six GSBS PhD students received travel awards to the meeting this year, which begins on November 13 in Pittsburgh, PA. Our students will be joined by Aimee Shen, PhD, Director of P2P and Maribel Rios, Director of Tufts PREP and two PREP trainees, Allison Blais and Nic Furtado.
Recipients of the travel awards and presenting their research are:
- Liz Tan, a PhD student in Molecular Microbiology training in the Camilli lab (oral presentation)
- Andrea Rebolledo Vivero, a PhD student in Molecular Microbiology training in the Camilli lab (poster presentation)
- Claudia Manan Mejias, a PhD Student in Molecular Microbiology training in the Mecsas lab (poster presentation)
- Yishak Woldetsadik, a PhD student in Molecular Microbiology training in the Camilli lab (oral presentation)
- Wendelin Marmol, a GMCB student training in the Munger lab (poster presentation)
- Ashley Luo, first year PhD student in the MERGE-ID Track in Molecular Microbiology and a PREP alum (poster presentation)
