GSBS Congratulates Bree Aldridge - Zucker Prize Recipient
Bree Aldridge, PhD, a member of the GSBS Molecular Microbiology and Immunology programs and professor of molecular biology and microbiology at Tufts University School of Medicine has been honored with the 2024 Milton O and Natalie V Zucker Prize. This annual prize is awarded to a woman on the TUSM faculty in recognition of exceptional career achievements in research.
Bree’s research focuses on the biology of M. tuberculosis, particularly its ability to survive host and antibiotic stresses. Her innovative approaches have led to breakthroughs in understanding cellular heterogeneity and drug tolerance mechanisms within M. tuberculosis populations.
She has trained numerous students and postdoctoral scholars during her time at Tufts. Four of our current students are pursuing their PhD under her direction.
