Neuro at JAX Curriculum

Students in Neuro at JAX participate in activities and courses at The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, ME. While at JAX, students complete research rotations, coursework (largely via videoconferencing), and their thesis dissertation research.

Like all Neuroscience PhD students, Neuro at JAX students have their first thesis advisory committee meeting in the fall of the second year and take their PhD Qualifying Examination in the spring semester of the second year.

Thesis committee meetings, qualifying exams, and dissertation defenses all take place at JAX, with videoconferencing to enable continued interactions with and guidance from the GSBS Boston community.
