Research/Areas of Interest:
My work focuses on epigenetic mechanisms involved in the control of gene expression and on the molecular processes involved in their regulation. The entry point for these studies is KDM2B, a histone H3K36me2/me1, H3K4me3 and perhaps H3K79me3/me2 demethylase. KDM2B regulates gene expression at multiple levels and its function is relevant to human cancer. In my work, I address molecular mechanisms involved in the regulation of KDM2B and in the functional role of KDM2B in the regulation of gene expression.
