Charlton Student Research Award

The Charlton Student Research Award was first presented in 2022. The award, presented by the School of Medicine Academic Research Awards Committee recognizes research accomplishments of third or fourth year graduate students during their time at GSBS.
Award Amount
$250 to the recipient plus $750 to support conference presentation and travel.
Eligibility
PhD students in the third or fourth year of their PhD program.
Nomination Deadline
Early May each year
Nomination Procedure
Each program director may submit two nominations annually. The nomination package must include a nomination letter focusing on the student's research accomplishments as a GSBS PhD student, a letter of support from the student's thesis advisor and the student's CV.
Selection Procedure
The TUSM Academic Research Awards Committee reviews and decides on the recipients. This Award is based solely on research accomplishments during a student’s graduate career at Tufts, to reward and encourage students who are thriving in their research work.
Up to four awards will be given each year.
