Research/Areas of Interest:
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a chronic neurodegenerative disease characterized by memory loss and cognitive decline. Exosomes are extracellular vesicles (size 40-100 nm) released from many cell types into the extracellular space. In the propagation of AD their secretion seems to be involved in intercellular communication even if less is known about their role in amyloid propagation. My research is focused on investigating exosome trafficking and cargo in AD.
