Research/Areas of Interest:

Our Mental Health Services Research Group (MHSRG) has been involved in consultative research design and implementation projects across a broad array of mental health outcomes assessment. The research has emphasized practical approaches to improving the detection of psychiatric disorders in non-psychiatric settings including primary care, particularly through the development of innovative patient-based screening methodologies and improved compliance with treatments for major affective disorders. We are studying the impact of depression on work functioning including screening and treating depressed employees through telephone-based treatment interventions. In addition, we are studying health disparities in primary care.
