Research/Areas of Interest:
We use X-ray crystallography in conjunction with other biochemical and biophysical techniques to study the structure and function of a variety of proteins and their nucleic acid complexes. A major project in the lab aims to use structure-based models to alter the specificity of Cre recombinase. Another major project aims to improve our understanding of small DNA tumor viruses.
