Research/Areas of Interest:
My research is focused on providing information to further determine the association of variant SNPs linked to the novel mucin gene, HCG22, and steroid-induced ocular hypertension. I am currently performing a case-control study with a cohort of patients that are known to exhibit a steroid response, and a similar group that lacks a steroid response. The cohort will be analyzed to determine the intra-ocular pressure response, and DNA samples will be collected and analyzed for the variant SNPs linked to HCG22.
