Research/Areas of Interest:
My primary research involves the use of a small molecule inhibitor in a preclinical drug study of heart failure. I am using a murine model of pathological hypertrophy and cardiac dysfunction to investigate the efficacy of this drug, which we believe is acting through a novel mechanism with fewer off target effects. Primary endpoints include functional echocardiography and analysis of common heart failure readouts, such as gene/protein expression and cardiac fibrosis and hypertrophy.
