Message from Your GSC - February 8, 2021
Hello GSBS Community,
Happy Monday! Whether you’re in lab or working from home this morning, take a second to read about some upcoming events and a new graduate student organization on campus!
The first GSC Game Night of the year will take place on Friday, February 19 from 6-8pm. This year we will be playing Unsolved Case Files – a realistic murder mystery game where you’ll be placed into teams of 3-5 and tasked with convicting your suspect using the evidence we provide. There will be a prize for the winning team! Pre-registration is required. To register, fill out this quick form for Game Night.
Keep your eyes peeled for another Cultural Dinner this month in honor of Black History Month. In collaboration with the Black Student Alliance, we will be celebrating black history and culture in the US. If you missed the last Cultural Dinner, don’t miss out on this next opportunity to break bread, and celebrate diversity with members of the Tufts GSBS community. Registration link to come soon.
Lastly, I want to make everyone aware of a new graduate student organization between the Medford and Boston campuses – Tufts SACNAS. The purpose of the Tufts SACNAS organization is to provide a powerful and inclusive source of community that affords local support for graduate/undergraduate students to succeed in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with the overall goal of achieving diversity, with a specific emphasis in Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans. The first general body meeting will take place this Friday at 2pm. If interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be sent the zoom link.
Stay safe, GSBS. Have a great week.
