Dean's Message - October 26, 2020
Dear GSBS Community,
First, please join me in welcoming our newest member of the GSBS staff! Erin Dimson-Doyle will serve as the part-time coordinator for the Microbiology Graduate Program. Erin served similar roles at the Department of Drama and Dance at Tufts and most recently at the Boston Center for the Arts. We’re excited to have her as part of the GSBS Dean’s Office team.
Second, we are all aware of the election next week, Tuesday, November 3. A core value at Tufts University is civic engagement, and there is no more important way to express this value than to vote. It is your right, paid for by the many individuals and groups who, over the course of our nation’s history, sacrificed so that your voices would be heard in the governance of our nation. Voting is always important but in our challenging moment in time, it has never been more critical. Please vote and encourage your friends and family to do the same. You can find any information you need to vote – either in Massachusetts or absentee in your home state - at JumboVote.org.
We also understand the stress the election, in conjunction with the pandemic and racial tensions, may have on our students, faculty and staff. We encourage you to take time for self-care in whatever ways you are most comfortable: meditation, long walks, discussions with friends or professional counseling.
