Fall matriculation has been delayed until January for incoming GSBS students. Learn more.

Dear GSBS Community,

Many of you saw the announcement last Friday that we will be delaying matriculation for our Boston-based incoming class (see the Fall Semester FAQ page). GSBS reached this decision after careful consideration of all available public health guidelines, including critical social distancing requirements, which will frustrate our ability to provide the best possible academic program for first year students, particularly when it comes to lab rotations.

While we are planning for courses for incoming first-year students to begin in January 2021, all other Fall coursework will take place remotely. Course offerings are being finalized and will be communicated to all students. The incoming class will also be given the opportunity to virtually attend journal clubs and research presentations in the fall, to give them the opportunity to get to know our community. These changes will be challenging to enact, but I trust that we will do our best to make their experience optimal and help them feel included in our community.
