Dear GSBS Community,

Happy March, everyone. This is my 50th Dean’s comment! We have three upcoming events this month aligned to our commitment to research excellence, community values and access to career exploration.

On Monday March 2, we will host a career panel with five alumni working in Intellectual Property Law.

On March 3, we will co-host the Health Sciences Career Fair with the Friedman School and the Public Health program. This fair will permit you to meet representatives from over 20 companies and institutions for career exploration.

Finally, on March 26, we will host the first ever combined student and faculty workshop on Preventing, Diagnosing and Treating Microaggressions in Mentoring. This workshop, led by Bruce Birren, PhD and AZA Allsop, MD, will address issues in mentoring relationships and teach skills important for mentoring.

I hope that you will take advantage of these opportunities to explore and grow.

Dan Jay
