Dean Jay highlights the Cultural Awareness for Career Success program and reminds us all that February is Black History Month.
Jaharis Building in the spring

February is Black History Month, and I want to take the opportunity to celebrate our diversity and highlight our Cultural Awareness for Career Success (CACS) program. Over the last semester, we held a wide array of lectures and events, such as the highly successful cultural walks that explore diverse neighborhoods in the city we call home. The next such walk, Exploring the Cultural Diversity of Boston’s Chinatown, is on February 13th and will be led by Josh Man; it is full, but people can still sign up for the waitlist.

We recently held a Faith Awareness panel, with chaplains from the Medford campus representing diverse faiths who led a lively discussion that was much appreciated by the attendees. Look out for more events this semester; we also welcome suggestions by community members for future events.

The GSBS Dean’s Office is always interested in your thoughts, and will be holding a series of community lunches to get your input on our climate and ways to build a culture of inclusive excellence.
