Take time to recharge and enjoy the rest of your summer. An exciting new academic year is coming soon!

Dear Sackler Community,

Last week I was in Gloucester MA, during an art residency, making art while overlooking a beautiful water-filled granite quarry. This is the way I relax and recharge for the coming year. I tell you this to emphasize wellness and life-work balance. When I was a student, I rarely took vacations except to see family. These days I see the importance of time to recharge, reconnect and cherish your friends, family and past times. I hope each of you make time for this as your schedule permits.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and I hope to see you refreshed, ready and eager for the active Fall. New this year will be career panels throughout the first semester with alumni in academia, industry, policy and communication, and intellectual property who will discuss their career paths and permit you to engage in exploration and networking with them.
