Congratulations to Eric Rubin, an alum of the Microbiology PhD program and our MSTP on his appointment as the Editor-in-Chief of New England Journal of Medicine.

Eric Rubin, an MD, PhD graduate of the Sackler program in Microbiology and Tufts University School of Medicine has been named Editor-in-Chief of the New England Journal of Medicine. Eric is chair of the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the TH Chan School of Public Health at Harvard and the Irene Heinz Given Professor of Immunology and Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Rubin completed the PhD portion of his MD, PhD with the late Michael Gill. His research focuses on Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
